Integrity and allowing

I came home yesterday and found that a book had been delivered by courier to my home. Of course I was excited because I love books! I racked my brain, trying to remember what I’d recently ordered but drew a blank. I opened up the package and found George Leonard’s Mastery: the Keys to Success and Fulfillment. Hmmm….. looked interesting but it wasn’t something I’d ordered. I had internal tug-of-war going on. One voice said to just keep it: it must be meant for me on some level. Another voice said that if someone else ordered and paid for it and it was delivered here by mistake, that wasn’t right to keep it. I was reluctantly prepared to return the book if necessary. Finally got through to customer service and it turns out that it was a gift from Bill Baren coaching! I was able to accept the gift with gratitude now that the mystery was over.

I share this story because of the pull between wanting to be open to unexpected gifts but also wanting to act in integrity. For me, knowing that the book really was meant for me allows me to enjoy it clear from any muddiness around taking something that belonged to someone else. I’m enjoying the book and will make another post about mastery and being single. Already I can tell that this is a profound and life-changing book! I’ll keep you posted!

My holistic approach

I am a coach for the current Calling in “the One” course, and I’m just loving co-facilitating our small group “Affinity” with Rebecca Ocean! On the teaching call last night, Katherine talked about how this program is all about who you are BEING when looking for love. The Conscious Dating® program I offer focuses more on DOING: your relationship requirements, how to find other singles and lots more. Together, they are life-changing! Together, they are your roadmap to finding love! Contact me today for complimentary strategy session. We’ll talk about how I can help you find love in 2012!

Meeting other singles

My clients who rely on online dating often express frustration. They are tired of being at their computers instead of meeting people face-to face. They are tired of the exaggerations and downright lies of the profiles they are reading. There are four levels of places to meet a potential partner. The first is in public places, like at a supermarket. It can be fun to strike up a conversation… and who knows? The second level is singles events and online dating. At least this way you know that people are (theoretically!) available. You may have Meetup groups in your area that focus on singles events and outings. The third level is groups in which you have shared interests, such as hiking or photography clubs. The fourth level is venues that bring people together who have a common vision or shared values, such as church groups or Transition Towns meetings. Try to get out and actually meet people (like the old days) and don’t rely exclusively on online dating sites!

Give yourself a pat on the back!

Like most people at the end of another year, I am reflecting on the past 12 months. It’s so easy to focus on what we still need to learn, and how we still need to grow, that we forget to celebrate our accomplishments. I invite you to give yourself credit for all the ways you have stretched yourself over the past year, the lessons you have learned, the ways you have made a difference in others’ lives.

I am celebrating that, as well as being a Certified Calling in “the One” coach, I am now officially a Certified RCI Relationship Coach for Singles. I have been through rigorous training to earn this certification. I feel confident offering these wonderful programs to you. I know that they do make a difference and I love to witness the transformation in my clients! I hope that 2012 will be the year that you will join me either for individual coaching or in one of my groups. Let’s make 2012 the year for LOVE!
